What We Do

At the Buddhist Patriots Society, we bridge timeless Buddhist teachings—compassion, mindfulness, wisdom, and non-violence—with active patriotic service to our nation. Our programs focus on community service, ethical leadership, national healing, and mindful civic engagement through education, volunteering, meditation sessions, and collaborative initiatives.

We actively partner with respected Buddhist organizations worldwide to amplify our impact and promote unity, peace, and selfless service.

Partnership with Fo Guang Shan: We are proud to collaborate with Fo Guang Shan, one of the world's leading Buddhist organizations founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Fo Guang Shan operates more than 300 branch temples globally, spreading Humanistic Buddhism that emphasizes applying compassion and wisdom to everyday life and society. In the United States, Fo Guang Shan maintains a strong network with temples and centers in major cities across the country, including Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights (Los Angeles area), temples in New York, Boston, Orlando, Austin, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, Honolulu, and many others. These partnerships enable us to draw on shared values of service, education, and community building to support joint events, meditation retreats, and service projects that foster enlightened patriotism and national unity.

Collaboration with the Peace Monks Walk for Peace: We have partnered with the dedicated Buddhist monks undertaking the inspiring "Walk for Peace"—a 2,300-mile pilgrimage from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C. This multi-month journey promotes peace, compassion, non-violence, forgiveness, and healing across America. Together, we are co-organizing events, activities, and gatherings along their route and beyond, including public talks, peace rallies, community meditations, and volunteer opportunities. These efforts align perfectly with our mission to heal divisions, encourage mindful civic action, and inspire patriotic service grounded in Buddhist principles.

Through these and future partnerships, our programs include:

  • Community service projects that combine volunteering with mindfulness practices.

  • Educational workshops on ethical leadership and compassionate citizenship.

  • Meditation and reflection sessions focused on gratitude for freedom and unity over division.

  • Events supporting national healing and civic duty.

We are continually expanding our initiatives to create meaningful opportunities for American Buddhists and patriots to serve our country with wisdom and heart. Stay tuned for upcoming programs, or get involved today to help shape them!
